Consultation Programme

Horizon scanning for topics of interest before they become major issues of policy is a high priority for the Centre, and is achieved through its Consultation Programme. The CSaP holds regular consultation meetings with its Associates and other senior policy makers, to identify emerging themes for the Centre Interest Groups and Policy Workshops.

To date, the CSaP has held consultation meetings on the following topics:

  • Climate Science
  • Energy
  • Ageing and Dementia
  • Genomics and Health
  • Security, Risk and Infrastructure
  • Cognitive Systems
  • Manufacturing and Industry
  • Water Security
  • Behavioural Change
  • Cambridge Zero Carbon 2040
  • Science and Society
  • Ecosystems

A series of Whitehall Consultations with senior policy makers is planned for early 2010, to discuss current thinking in science and policy issues.

In addition, the CSaP meets twice yearly with its External Advisory Group.
